- This is a mix media abstract drawing. I have tried to avoid using any brush work in this image using a wide range of abstract expressionistic mark making with a variety of materials such as pen, ink, chalk, charcoal and even spray paint. In this series of works I have been limiting my chosen materials to three base colours in black, white and grey in order to explore the dialogue been tonal and textural qualities of the different materials. The title of this work is partly inspired by a song by 'Mudvayne' and contains some elements that resemble the work of 1950s abstract expressionist painter; Franz Kline.
